B-SWEP

The Basta Software Engineer Program (B-SWEP) is an exclusive collaboration between Google and Basta that combines technical training with real-world career skills, paving the way for participants to master the technical interview and launch great careers in tech.

B-SWEP’s Fall Application opens in August.

Undergrad students participate in a 10-week virtual experience, consisting of 1:1 mentorship from a volunteer Google Software Engineer (SWE) and live online workshops grounded in Basta’s best-in-class career navigation content and resources.

you should apply if you’re:

  • An undergrad student majoring in Computer Science or a related field.

  • A student who has completed a course that teaches you how to use Data Structures (arrays, lists, maps, sets, trees) and Algorithms (e.g. binary search, depth-first search, breach-first search, quick sort, merge sort, etc.)

  • Proficient in coding languages like Java, C++, Python, JavaScript.

  • Committed to spending ≥4 hrs/week in independent coding.

  • Available for weekly virtual 1:1 mentorship.

  • Able to demonstrate coding proficiency through CodeSignal assessment.
