ABOUT BASTA
First-generation college students have what it takes to bring immense value to the workforce, but often face systemic barriers in professional knowledge, networks, and opportunity. More than half of recent graduates are underemployed, and many remain so for a decade or more after graduation. Basta closes this gap, helping first-generation students secure great jobs, launch careers, and reshape leadership in the workforce. Since 2016, Basta has delivered data-driven, AI-enabled career navigation solutions and partnered with leading employers to accelerate opportunities for thousands of first-generation students across 300 campuses nationwide. Basta participants are now thriving at companies such as Bloomberg, Snap Inc., Citi, DonorsChoose, and more than 100 other companies.
